Goslings

I’m happy to report that the Canada Goose I’ve been keeping tabs on for the past few weeks is herding little goslings around the wetlands at Koll Center. 

She built her nest out in the open and sat on those eggs the past month fully exposed to rain, hail, wind and predators.  Her nest came perilously close to being submerged a week or so ago with the last big storms we had.

I’m glad it had a happy ending for her and her new family.  It’s always nice when hard work is rewarded!
